Soak up the creative atmosphere of a working pottery studio and join the studio community of makers. Work under the tutorage of artist Carys Martin to learn the techniques and tricks to creating in clay and to explore the different surface decoration options.

Creating in clay and surface decoration. Come along on Saturday 13th July 1-3pm and make your very own marvellous Fairy, Fungi, moon or magical animal mug or candle holder!

You will receive a wheel-thrown base for you to sculpt onto, carve and decorate. Create your own artistic handle, such as a peacock, mushroom, fox-tail, moon, wildflower or carve through holes for your candle light to flow through... the possibilities are endless.

Select whether you wish to add a crystal to your book when making your booking.

The workshop will run for 2 hours and is suitable for beginners through to advanced potters.

I will carefully dry your piece before its first firing then clear glaze it and fire it in the kiln. It will be ready for collection from the studio in 2-3 weeks. On the rare occasion any breakages occur during the firing process, I will repair them to the bet of my ability. However, if your piece is unable to be repaired, you will be offered the opportunity to remake it or a full refund.

Studio Address - Unit 11, 7-9 Grant St Cleveland.

"A two hour workshop crafting something uniquely yours is such a treat. Carys guides you with suggested techniques to decorate your own mug. I found the experience to be relaxing and thoroughly creative. Highly recommend." Amanda

"Carys is a bubbly, patient, kind, and knowledgeable artist who answered any and all questions we had. We had a wonderful time making our mugs and there's so much more to it than previously thought. Definitely attend this studio; you're in for a real treat!" Corina
