Bramble: Growth

Grow and prosper or be left behind.

Nothing is truly static. The prolific growth of Bramble comes to demonstrate that growth is necessary to survive. If you purposefully hinder growth, the twisting vines may strangle and ensnare you. The vines will move forwards regardless, engulfing the old as they grow into the new. Bramble carries a warning. While you may wish to keep the status quo in a situation, the world around you will continue to move forward. Choose to move with it or risk being trapped and left behind.

There is good fortune for those who grow, as Bramble also embraces abundance. Opportunities exist for you to prosper. Break free of what is physically or mentally holding you back. Remember to be kind to yourself as all growth happens differently and can take a short or long time. To reap the benefits, you must be prepared to go the distance.

The little dog on the card with the fairy is my own dog, Bramble. She is a reminder to love yourself unconditionally. Self-love and the acceptance of your flaws and weaknesses can help you to identify where you are holding yourself back. This in turn can help you heal the past and move forwards. Disregard old stories you have told yourself about being incapable. Learn to ignore the ‘done’ thing and what seems impossible. Bramble’s thorns need not snag and trap you. Instead, the fruit should show you what bounty growth can gift. You are not defined by your past but you are the creator of your future.
