Step into the vibrant world of ancient myth and natural renewal with this enchanting Springtime Hare artwork. In Celtic and Druidic folklore, the hare is a sacred symbol of rebirth, intuition, and the awakening of life — especially in the joyful season of spring, when the earth stirs anew and magic feels closest to the surface.
This piece portrays a solitary hare, framed by an arched, hand sculpted Gothic-style window. Delicate, organic motifs weave through the background like unfurling roots and budding branches, evoking the blossoming energy of the wild woodlands. Turquoise crystals are nestled into the intricate patterns — a stone revered for its protective and healing properties, and long associated with renewal, vitality, and the energy of the natural world. The work is set in a replica I have created of an antique, ornate gilded frame that I found on my recent visit to Chester in UK, adding a sense of timeless reverence to the figure.
