Learn with Di! A full day to create whatever you wish!
Soak up the creative atmosphere of a working pottery studio and join our studio community of makers for a full day of slowing down, connecting, and creating. In this immersive workshop, you’ll work under the tutorage of Diane from Mud of Moon to hand-build your very own creation from clay. You can choose what you want to make - an altar, a greenman, a planter, something Christmassy - the choice is yours!
Over the course of the day, Diane will guide you step-by-step through slab-building techniques, shaping, and surface sculpting and carving. With a full day to work, you’ll have the time and space to experiment with form, texture, and finish - whether you use the provided templates or let your own vision take shape.
🌿 In this workshop you will:
- Learn hand building and sculpting techniques in clay
- Explore decoration methods to personalise your piece
- Create a sacred piece infused with your own intention
- Slow down, connect, and craft with care and presence
✨ After the workshop:
Your piece will be carefully dried, bisque fired, and then finished with our beautiful misty white glaze before its final firing. On the rare occasion breakages occur during firing, we will repair them to the best of her ability — and if a piece cannot be saved, you’ll be offered the chance to remake it or receive a full refund. Your finished altar will be ready for collection from the studio in 2–3 weeks.
This is more than a pottery class - it’s a day of grounding creativity and ritual-making. You’ll leave not only with a handmade altar, but also with the calm and connection that comes from working slowly and intentionally with clay.
