This vessel is alive with the ancient language of the spiral, one of the most enduring symbols carved into Neolithic stones. Spirals are pathways, journeys inward and outward, symbols of life, death, and rebirth. They remind us of the cycles of nature, the turning of the seasons, and the soul’s own unfolding.

The mug is glazed in deep forest greens with golden spirals etched across its surface, echoing the sacred carvings found on stones at henges and passage tombs. At the handle rests a polished Quartz Wand, the master crystal of clarity, amplification, and illumination. Clear quartz magnifies intention, awakens focus, and opens the way to deeper connection with both spirit and land.

These items are handmade at every stage in the making process and so each is unique. From creating the form, to hand making each batch of glaze, to hand carving and hand painting the designs, many variances are found at each stage of the process. Each piece is mindfully created in my studio over a number of weeks, with each finished piece having its own subtle differences. That is the beauty of handmade.
