This vessel is shaped in reverence to the stone circles and standing stones that rise from ancient landscapes, guardians of ritual and memory. Its surface carries spirals and carvings inspired by Neolithic rock art, golden patterns that echo the markings of our ancestors - symbols of portals, pathways, and cycles of rebirth.

The glaze flows in earthy browns and twilight purples, colours that call to both the grounded earth and the mystery of dusk. At the handle rests a polished piece of Tiger’s Eye, a stone of protection, courage, and strength. Long held as a talisman, Tiger’s Eye balances grounded stability with golden fire, guiding its keeper to act with confidence while staying rooted in truth.

More than a mug, this is an altar piece - a ritual companion infused with intention. Each sip is a step into the circle, a moment of connection with the land and its deep pulse of power. May the voice of the stones speak through you, reminding you that strength and wisdom are already yours.

These items are handmade at every stage in the making process and so each is unique. From creating the form, to hand making each batch of glaze, to hand carving and hand painting the designs, many variances are found at each stage of the process. Each piece is mindfully created in my studio over a number of weeks, with each finished piece having its own subtle differences. That is the beauty of handmade.
