“Porcelain Christmas Decorations” – Handcraft Six Unique Ornaments

Step into the festive season with ceramic artist Sandra Noa and enjoy a calm and creative afternoon making your own set of porcelain Christmas decorations.

In this workshop, you’ll explore the unique qualities of porcelain clay—its smoothness, strength, and luminous beauty—while shaping six beautiful decorations to adorn your tree, home, or gift to loved ones. Sandra will guide you step by step through shaping, cutting, and joining techniques so each decoration is truly your own.

You will learn how to:
– Handbuild six porcelain decorations with simple, versatile techniques
– Work with porcelain in its raw, unglazed state to let its natural finish shine
– Embrace a mindful making process that celebrates simplicity and small details

Your set of decorations can be playful, festive, folkloric, or entirely your own invention.

This workshop is suitable for all levels, including beginners. All materials and kiln firing are included.

✨ A gentle introduction to porcelain and a celebration of handmade festive traditions.

Meet Sandra....

Sandra Noa is a Brisbane-based ceramic artist working from her studio in Capalaba, Queensland. Her practice centres on creating refined, contemplative pieces in porcelain—celebrated for its delicacy, strength, and quiet beauty.

Working slowly and intentionally, Sandra handcrafts each piece as a meditation on form, light, and texture. She chooses not to glaze her work, allowing the natural surface of porcelain to shine—highlighting its purity, softness, and translucency. Her forms explore the tension between fragility and resilience, inviting stillness and reflection.

With a lifelong appreciation of the arts and a deep respect for traditional techniques, Sandra allows the unique qualities of porcelain to guide her process. Her workshops encourage space for slow making and mindful connection through clay, allowing participants to tune into their creativity, embrace the process, and find beauty in simplicity.

Join her to learn the techniques of working with porcelain and to experience the quiet joy of creating with intention and presence.
