Let The Fox Be Your Guide 🦊

It is said that foxes know the woods like no other. This intimate knowledge led the Celts to rely upon the fox as their guide in the spirit world. 

Foxes are honoured for their wisdom and knowing. They are clever at adapting so that they assimilates into their environment even when this environment is changing rapidly. The fox teaches us how to get around obstacles fluidly instead of facing them head on with the same bag of tricks.

This wheel thrown mug is hand decorated with layers of different glazes and liquid gold and takes many weeks to create.   

Found in a place with magic in the air, where misty mornings gather dew on mossy rocks and sunlight forms dappled shadows under the trees. The animals in this wood hear the whispering of the ancients as their lives intertwine through the passing seasons.

 These items are handmade at every stage in the making process and so each is unique. From creating the form, to hand making each batch of glaze, to hand carving and hand painting the designs, many variances are found at each stage of the process. Each piece is mindfully created in my studio over a number of weeks, with each finished piece having its own subtle differences. That is the beauty of handmade.
