Goddess of Brigid | Ceramic Shrine with Quartz, Cauldron & Wings of Pollinators
This radiant sculpture honours Brigid, the Celtic goddess of flame, healing, and sacred creativity. She is the eternal firekeeper, the cauldron-bearer, the one whose presence warms the hearth, inspires the poet, and guides the healing hand.
Cradling a clear quartz crystal in her hands above a flickering flame, she embodies the spark of life and illumination. The fire blossoms in a glowing cauldron at her belly—symbol of transformation, inspiration, and the womb of rebirth. This is Brigid as the eternal forge and wellspring, a guide for those who seek clarity, protection, and the courage to create.
Behind her, a green-glazed halo—etched with Celtic knotwork—surrounds her head like leaves woven through light. Moths and bees dance across her back, pressed and carved into the glaze. These creatures are sacred messengers in Celtic lore: the bee, a symbol of wisdom, community, and sweetness born of labor; and the moth, a guide through darkness and inner transformation.
The glaze on this piece contains copper carbonate and titanium, lending more than color—they carry energetic resonance. Copper is associated with the goddess Venus and the heart chakra, offering warmth, vitality, and feminine strength. It is said to amplify energy and conduct spiritual awareness. Titanium, in contrast, brings grounding and strength, forming a protective barrier around the aura. Together, these elements root the sculpture in both tenderness and resilience.
Brigid's quartz crystal channels clarity, focus, and purification—making this goddess an ideal companion for altar work, intention-setting, or seasonal celebrations like Imbolc, Brigid's sacred fire festival.
