She Who Rises from the Waters...

In Celtic tradition, water was sacred, flowing with the essence of the Otherworld and the wisdom of the feminine. Lakes and seas were said to be watched over by goddesses – guardians of healing, intuition, and hidden knowledge. These divine women would rise from the depths to offer insight or blessings to those who approached with reverence. The Ocean Goddess Mug honours that legacy, with a hand-sculpted figure emerging from the waves – a vessel of grace and strength. In the handle rests clear quartz, a crystal known in Celtic lore to amplify truth and light. Drink deep, and remember: you, too, carry the tide within you.

These items are handmade at every stage in the making process and so each is unique. From creating the form, to hand making each batch of glaze, to hand carving and hand painting the designs, many variances are found at each stage of the process. Each piece is mindfully created in my studio over a number of weeks, with each finished piece having its own subtle differences. That is the beauty of handmade.
