Stone Circle Moon Portal

Height: 25cm

A woodland shrine captured in clay.

This hand-built sculptural altar forms a complete circular portal - a symbol of cycles, seasons, and sacred continuity. At the apex rests a full moon disc, marking the rhythm of time and the turning of light.

On one side, a serene feminine figure emerges from the arch, eyes closed in quiet knowing. She is not watching - she is listening. Rooted. Present. Ancient.

Within the circle stand three stone forms inspired by megalithic standing stones and ancient ceremonial sites - quiet echoes of places where earth and sky meet. They sit cradled at the centre, creating a miniature sacred landscape.

Oak leaves wrap around the base in layered texture, speaking of endurance, protection and ancestral memory. Three small ritual wells are built into the front - perfect for herbs, crystals, oils, incense cones, or tiny offerings. A central candle space allows light to glow through the stones and the portal when lit.

Glazed in moss greens, soft sky blues, and earthy bronze tones, the surface carries the feel of weathered stone and forest floor.

This piece functions as:
• A seasonal or lunar altar centrepiece
• A ritual offering vessel
• A meditation focal point
• A sacred shelf sculpture

Hand-built. One of a kind.

For those drawn to stone circles, old trees, and the quiet power of sacred places held in miniature.

These items are handmade at every stage in the making process and so each is unique. From creating the form, to hand making each batch of glaze, to hand carving and hand painting the designs, many variances are found at each stage of the process. Each piece is mindfully created in my studio over a number of weeks, with each finished piece having its own subtle differences. That is the beauty of handmade. These photos are a representation of the piece from this collection you will receive.
